What the evaluation includes

Cognitive testing
A 25-minute computerized assessment you complete at home on your own computer or tablet before your visit. It measures four parts of how your mind works: staying focused, keeping track of things, planning ahead and pausing before reacting. Results are scored against age- and gender-matched norms. No preparation needed.

Clinical interview
A video visit with Dr. Bracciano where we talk about you and ADHD: how it shows up, what's been difficult, what brought you here and how your history fits the picture. This is also where we rule things in and out. Anxiety, depression, sleep disorders and other conditions can look identical to ADHD, and they all require different treatment.

Validated rating scales
Standardized ADHD questionnaires completed before your visit, so your appointment time goes to the evaluation itself.

Your results and next step
If ADHD is confirmed, we build your treatment plan in the same visit, including medication when clinically appropriate. You leave with your results and a clear next step. Your written report is completed within 48 hours and delivered on request.
What cognitive testing does and doesn't do
Cognitive testing gives you a baseline in four measured domains. It informs diagnosis and treatment decisions alongside your clinical history and standardized scales; it is not a stand-alone ADHD test and no single score decides anything. What it does give you is a starting point you can compare against later. If you begin medication, you retest at week 4 and week 12 during titration and quarterly once your dose is stable, so you and Dr. Bracciano can look at your numbers and your own experience side by side.
Who this evaluation is for

- Adults diagnosed years ago who want a current, documented assessment
- Adults already on ADHD medication who want a baseline and a way to follow their response over time
- Adults whose picture is complicated by anxiety, depression or other conditions
Who it isn't for
- Children and teens under 18
- Anyone who needs emergency or crisis care
- Anyone who will be outside Wisconsin on the day of the visit
If the evaluation doesn't confirm ADHD
That's a good outcome, and it's the evaluation doing its job. Anxiety, depression, sleep disorders and other conditions can look identical to ADHD, and they all require different treatment.
If we identify something else, we'll explain what we found, include it in your report and refer you to the right provider for it. The evaluation fee covers the evaluation whatever it finds; the full terms are in your paperwork.
If the picture is unclear at the end of your visit, we say so, document what would settle it and include one additional evaluation visit within 90 days at no charge. If the answer is not ADHD today and the issue we named is addressed later, a re-evaluation within 12 months is $395.
Cost
The evaluation is $695, paid when you book. That covers the cognitive testing, the clinical interview, the rating scales, the written report and medication started at the visit when clinically appropriate. Medication itself is filled and paid for at your pharmacy. We don't bill insurance; a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement is available on request. Full pricing and insurance details
